Kathy brings more than three decades of experience as an architect and laboratory planner, but it’s her boundless curiosity and future-focused mindset that set her apart. A natural innovator, she pushes ideas beyond traditional boundaries to uncover new possibilities for scientific environments. Kathy sees research spaces as living ecosystems where science, sustainability, and the human experience intersect. She thrives on helping clients define bold visions and transform complex needs into forward-thinking, technically rigorous solutions. Her strength lies in connecting the dots between disciplines- uniting stakeholders around shared goals for excellence, safety, energy efficiency, and purposeful design.
Kathy’s work consistently leads to environments that not only support discovery but also inspire it. As a 2024 SCUP Fellow, Kathy conducted extensive research on the intersection between the neurodiverse experience and the built environment, identifying emerging trends in achieving inclusivity by investigating the neuroscience behind existing barriers and conducting human reaction studies.
