Our Team

Buck is the President and Founding Principal at Wellogy. He is passionate about developing “Quality of Life” communities focused on population health in urban, rural, and suburban settings. He conducts extensive research and publishes work around the notion of community and regional health and wellness developments. Buck has presented nationally at several conferences and conventions, including the following: BOMA Medical Office Buildings & Healthcare Real Estate Conference. “Healthy Urbanism™ – The Next Chapter in Healthcare Design,” 2019; International Council of Shopping Center’s RECon Convention, “Healthcare as Retail,” 2018; and the Columbus Chapter of The American Marketing Association, “Healthcare Goes Retail,” 2011. 

Buck received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Ohio State University.

Julie is a Principal at Wellogy, leading the firm’s operations with a focus on precision and dedication across the entire project life cycle. With her extensive expertise in elevator modernization, higher education, and government projects, Julie has a proven track record of managing complex, high-stakes initiatives that deliver impactful results. She is spearheading several prominent projects at the Ohio Expo Center, where her skill in coordinating multifaceted efforts ensures each project’s success.

Julie’s calm and resolute nature has made her an invaluable resource for clients and colleagues, enabling her to guide multi-faceted projects smoothly from concept to completion. She joined Wellogy in 1999, holds a Master of Architecture degree from The Ohio State University, and is a licensed architect committed to excellence that underscores her work and leadership.

Matt leads every project with focus and a clarity of vision for the outcome. His responsiveness and attentiveness to all aspects of a project are also of great value to Wellogy in his role as Principal and CFO. As a Project Manager/ Project Architect, Matt is responsible for providing planning, design, construction documentation, and project coordination and leadership for our clients.

Matt has worked on complex projects across a wide variety of markets and building types. He earned his professional registration as an Architect at the beginning of 2013 and joined the partnership of Wellogy in July 2015. Matt has been with our team since June of 2009, after graduating from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 2007 and a Masters of Architecture in 2009.

No matter what the size of the project, Becky applies the same energy and drive to obtain the best overall results for her clients. Becky serves as Project Architect on some of Wellogy’s most admired higher education projects. She understands the issues related to complex renovations and how to balance demands and timelines. A master at problem-solving and organizing her work,  she excels at integrating new working methods such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) into projects to deliver higher quality in a reduced timeframe.

Becky joined Wellogy in 2000 with a Masters of Architecture from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University.

Kathleen Kelly is a Principal and Strategist for Wellogy. With almost 30 years of experience as a laboratory planner, Kathy’s projects enrich the research, medical and education communities. Realizing research environments blend science, art, human need, and sustainable stewardship ensures the design outcome places the user experience as a priority. As an advocate for innovative, process-driven planning solutions, Kathy helps clients define strategic planning visions and ensure technical expertise for highly specialized laboratory and medical environments is delivered. Project success is achieved by uniting the client and multi-disciplines around design excellence, well-being, content, technically excellent solutions, safety, and sustainable solutions.

As Wellogy’s Marketing Director, Jennifer is the force behind Wellogy’s first impressions, overseeing corporate branding, marketing proposals, social media strategy, publication design, and website content/management. With a background in advertising, broadcasting, and public relations, she excels at crafting highly visual, clear, and concise marketing messages that effectively promote the Wellogy team, culture, and projects. Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications specializing in Broadcasting and Public Relations from Bethany College.

Candie is a designer at Wellogy and is passionate about human experiences in interior spaces. She brings to the team previous internship experience in the healthcare and education design sectors. Candie holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design with a Research Distinction from The Ohio State University in 2023 and is pursuing NCIDQ certification. She is passionate about wayfinding, sustainability, and community identity within spaces.

Tyler possesses many great talents. He is a registered architect, photographer, drummer, craftsman, digital artist, and technology guru. Tyler worked with us during college and has taken on any challenge given to him with enthusiasm and confidence. Tyler manages the firm’s technology, VR studios, rendering, and BIM standards in addition to his project management workload.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Master of Architecture from The Ohio State University. Tyler developed a strong understanding of technology, construction, and fabrication in his Graduate Assistantship for the Knowlton School of Architecture and construction in residential renovations. His skillset is broad, and his ability to adapt to and manage multiple challenges has proven critical to the success of many projects.

Kelli is a finance and accounting professional with over 20 years of experience across sectors such as science, research, and transit. She holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Ohio University and an MBA from Marshall University, along with a CPA certification earned in 2009. Known for her expertise in financial management, internal controls, and compliance, Kelli excels in process improvements and operational efficiency.

Kelli actively volunteers with organizations like the Byron Saunders Foundation and serves as Treasurer for Soroptimist International of Columbus and Franklin County, and Cup of Purpose, Recovery Café. She is also a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs and AICPA, staying engaged with industry developments.

Gary is a registered architect with over 35 years of healthcare, corporate office, higher education, historic restoration, and adaptive reuse type facility designs and construction experience. His wealth of knowledge managing large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders is of great value to our team as is his ability to provide QA/QC on major projects. Having managed projects for both the client and design firms provides Gary with valuable insight and an in-depth understanding of project priorities and expectations.

Adam has a diverse background in mixed-use, high-rise, multifamily, residential, commercial, educational, and hospitality architecture. He has experience in all phases of design and has led BIM educational programs at multiple firms. With a master’s degree from The Ohio State University as well as having worked in the field for over fourteen years, his education and experience offer a unique blend of architectural theory and construction best practices.

Scott has an intuitive sense of design that he marries with his project management. Leveraging his 10+ years of experience, he carefully listens to a client’s needs, then works to make sure their voice is heard throughout a project. Scott believes complex challenges require collaborative solutions, and he works to create synergies between the team’s intelligent design ideas and the client’s programming needs.

Scott also offers experience across different markets, from residential to healthcare to large hospitality developments. His most admirable work quality is his capability to take on complex challenges and drive through them with clarity and consistency until completion. He is a Bowling Green State University graduate with a Bachelor’s in Architecture & Environmental Design.

With over 20 years of architectural experience, Parker is a skilled problem solver and understands how to build strong client relationships. His involvement in various project types, such as Mixed Use, Office, and Veterinary, will be a vital asset to our team going forward. Parker thrives in working with diverse teams and brings a calm and focused management style to drive projects to completion.

Henry Gleeson joins us from the Knowlton School of Architecture at Ohio State University. He is particularly interested in commercial architecture, with a specialization in healthcare. Henry’s passion for architecture is driven by his commitment to sustainability, innovative design, and a strong desire to help others.

Gary is a natural connector of people and a visionary in community design. As a principal architect, he has led projects across the country. He has completed mixed-use developments, Class A multi-family developments, multi-specialty medical office buildings, ambulatory surgery centers, churches, schools, retail centers, office campuses, and single-family residences. The variety of interests and projects gives Gary a unique skill set to create beautiful designs and understand projects’ economic and market factors.

As our Operations Mmanager, Tristan brings a depth of knowledge of project processes and procedures to our Columbus office. His four years of experience managing nationwide multi-faceted, commercial audio/video integration and digital creative design projects and his strong leadership and collaboration skills make him a valuable asset to our team. Tristan’s experience includes Account Management and Project Management in the healthcare, higher education, corporate, public transportation, and government sectors. Tristan is also a veteran, serving 11 years in the United States Air Force.

Danielle is a senior interior designer for Wellogy. Her experience ranges from retail, commercial, hospitality, to senior living.  She is passionate about creating interior spaces that are functional, livable, and aesthetically pleasing. Danielle is committed to being a part of a team whose main goal is the successful completion of the project for both the client and the end-users. She received her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Cincinnati and is a certified interior designer.

In his architectural career, Jim has served as Project Manager and Project Architect for projects in the United States and abroad on a wide range of building types and clients, spanning work ranging from small private and municipal projects to extensive public infrastructure work.

Jim has a long-standing, impressive resume and a solid reputation in architecture. He has extensive experience on public projects, both new and renovation, ranging from minor updates to water treatment plants to the design and construction of elevated rail stations, nationally and internationally, and the design of LEED-Gold facilities. Jim’s vibrant personality keeps us entertained with his sharp sense of humor and fashionable footwear.

Alex brings over five years of experience in construction management in multi-family and commercial metal frame construction, custom fabrication, and installation of interior graphics packages. Alex pivoted into architecture to pursue the more creative aspects of his previous fields and be involved on a larger scale in the projects that interest him. He is a driven problem solver and takes pride in doing things himself and challenging the traditional modes to accomplish goals.

Alex is a 2022 graduate of The Ohio State University Knowlton School of Architecture.

Alexis is passionate about creating interior and exterior spaces that promote positive physical and mental health. She is committed to delivering the highest quality product through consistent teamwork and strong communication. Alexis received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Master of Architecture from The Ohio State University. She joins Wellogy with experience in healthcare and senior living design.

Corey is one of Wellogy’s best utility players, using exceptional design skills and a solution-driven attitude to every project. Corey’s experience includes translating complex details into compelling visuals using Revit and producing construction documentation for commercial, healthcare, higher education, single, and multi-family projects.

A natural problem solver, Corey is adept at multi-tasking and shifting gears on projects without losing focus to meet any client demand for renovations, new construction, and buildouts. In his off hours, Corey keeps building up a cadre of jokes to one day pursue stand-up comedy.

Susan is dedicated and passionate about managing the day-to-day finances at Wellogy. As our Controller, Susan keeps all the teams on task financially and maintains a high level of detail and professionalism in her work. Susan has over 35 years of accounting experience focusing on job cost accounting and has spent much of her career in the AEC industry. She manages multiple layers of financial details with ease and ensures we are accountable for the outcome of every project.

Jim has an accomplished career spanning 40+ years. He has served as a Studio Manager, Principal in Charge, and Project Architect for various large, high-profile projects ranging in size from $5M to $500M. Jim works closely with our project teams to provide mentorship and expertise in all phases of project work. He is also involved with the firm’s leadership in business development, firm operations, and project delivery procedures and practices. Jim’s calm nature and ability to bring out the best in his co-workers make him an asset to our growing firm.

Isobel is a graphics designer at Wellogy. She supports the team through her talents to create and organize visual materials. She brings to the team previous work experience interning for a photography studio. Isobel was also selected as one of 10 women nationally to work on a documentary with Hello Sunshine/ AT&T and Fresh Films. She is a graduate of Columbus State Community College with an Associate of Arts degree.

Nolan’s exploration of how spaces can positively influence an individual’s physical and mental well-being has propelled his interest in architecture. With previous experience in construction, Nolan intends to combine the technical skills of building with the design ideology of the Knowlton School of Architecture to contribute to the Wellogy team.

Jordan Piskach is an incoming fourth-year Architecture student from the Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University. His academic focus centers on how architecture can enhance human interaction and elevate overall experiences. Jordan aims to integrate his passion for design by offering fresh insights that will strengthen Wellogy’s mission and projects.

Dave is an enthusiastic, creative, and driven Architect and Project Manager with Wellogy. His diverse architecture, construction, and development background provide a unique foundation for diagnosing and resolving complex design and construction issues.

He is a fearless fix-it guy who completely immerses himself in knowledge and problem solving, making him the engine that keeps the most challenging projects moving forward. Dave is passionate about sustainable design and continually empowers our team to seek better ways to manage resources and techniques to encourage engagement with nature. 

Soni brings a unique depth of Interior and Product Design expertise to Wellogy’s Utah office. She believes that design extends beyond research and ideation; it’s about anticipating the unknown and solving complex challenges with a critical, analytical approach. Combining technical strengths with a deep empathy for the people who will live and work in these spaces, Soni brings an intuitive understanding of how design can elevate well-being. This blend of precision and compassion makes her an invaluable contributor to human-centered, thoughtfully crafted, sustainable environments.

Riley is a Project Designer and a valuable contributor to our process. He provides detailed graphic design and technical support. His rendering skills in Enscape and Lumion have enriched our marketing and visual capabilities so clients can visualize their projects. Riley also possesses a high level of technical capability in REVIT and the Adobe creative suite. In addition to his technical and project design skills, Riley creates a welcoming environment at Wellogy and is always ready to help new hires learn our systems and provide client support.

Riley is a graduate of the Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University and earned his Masters in Architecture from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA.

A licensed architect and Wellogy’s Florida practice leader, Rudy puts his 18 years of design experience to work for clients on nearly any project type in commercial, healthcare, higher education, multi-family, entertainment/hospitality, civic, corporate interiors, sports, retail, religious, and mission-critical sectors.

Adept at handling multiple projects from concept to closeout, Rudy is involved in all phases from program development, project planning, client relationships, design, and documentation with noted expertise in construction administration.  And after office hours, he puts his juggling skills to work raising his two boys, planning international family trips, and sketching.

Rudy earned his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Houston and an undergraduate degree in Environmental Design from Texas A&M.

Steve is our Design Director and Salt Lake City practice leader. He is an accomplished architect with an award-winning track record in design and project management. His talent for sophisticated design and highly efficient project management has enabled him to build a solid base of satisfied clients for nearly three decades. Steve adds numerous design awards, as well as published works in the field of architectural studies to his broad experience in the practice of functional, form-driven, sustainable design.

Aleah Springer is a versatile architect with a passion for how design can bring people together. With a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Architecture from The Ohio State University, Knowlton School, Aleah brings a strong academic foundation coupled with practical experience to every project she undertakes.

Aleah’s diverse project portfolio includes historic renovations, community-focused public spaces, and mixed-use developments. Her approach to architecture is rooted in the belief that spaces should not only be functional but also foster connections among people. This philosophy guided her during her three years of teaching early design studio coursework at the Knowlton School, where she inspired future architects to think creatively about the impact of their work.

Rose is passionate about the reuse and rehabilitation of existing buildings, with a deep commitment to the health and wellness of individual occupants. She brings a wealth of experience in Envelope/Masonry Restoration and Adaptive Reuse, showcasing her versatility and dedication to sustainable and impactful architectural practices.

Rose holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Architecture from the Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University. Her thesis focused on enhancing occupant autonomy and individuality through flexible design solutions.

Alexandra joins Wellogy as a designer with experience in hospitality and laboratory design. She received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Master of Architecture from The Ohio State University. During her Graduate Assistantships, she promoted learning environments that forefronted fun and experimental design through collaboration within the Freshman Design Studio. This approach to design, in conjunction with her knowledge of building systems, makes Alex a welcome addition to our growing team.
