Wellogy completed a complex, multi-phased renovation of the 2-story, 20,000 sf clinic and surgery center for ReVision Lasik and Cataract Surgery in Powell, Ohio. The renovation increases the operating room capacity and creates a heightened focus on improving the patient experience beginning with arrival at the front door. From complimentary food service to private 3-D viewing of your loved one’s surgery (if desired), to the umbrella-covered escort to your car upon departure, the high-end patient experience is front of mind and supported by a state-of-the-art clinic, operating rooms, and equipment.
The increased capacity demanded a system overhaul including full HVAC replacement and emergency generator upgrades. The design parameters of the operating rooms demand a narrow performance range to ensure no harm comes to the high-end lasers. The project doubles the operating room capacity and increases pre and post-recovery bays threefold. By shifting the clinic to the second floor into an underutilized suite, the number of exam and testing bays grew, and the throughput increased dramatically. The increased capacity within the building, allowed the Surgery Center to add two additional surgeons to the staff. The phasing approach ensures the building, and its functions remained operable throughout the construction duration.
