Increased quality of care and patient experience are the primary outcomes anticipated at the Palmetto Primary Care Health and Wellness Campus. Four new buildings will form a walkable wellness campus, integrated into a larger master-planned community on 28-acres. The four new buildings will house a broad range of services.
The first building in this multi-phased project is a 100,000 GSF, three-story Medical Office Building. Primary floor services include imaging, with women’s health and MRI capabilities, an urgent care center, a primary care physician suite, a café, as well as administrative and registration spaces. Upper floor provider suites are in clusters, with a common waiting area for all suites. Each floor also has staff support areas for conferences, staff lounge, and lockers that will be shared by all staff on each floor.
Patient experience is of utmost importance. Concierge services, led by the primary care groups, guide the patient care management process, and act as advocates for the patient. Architectural design elements are integrated throughout the facility to enhance visitor comfort, promote familiarity, and remove institutional images. Patient outcomes are anticipated to improve by co-locating a broad range of services onto a single site with a medically integrated fitness facility that draws members multiple days a week.
