Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers, Colorado recently located its’ third metro-Denver store in the Lone Tree Entertainment District. The project is a pad site restaurant renovation of a familiar chain restaurant. The floor plate was the ideal size for a Mellow Mushroom and the site has sweeping views of the Front Range. Our clients initially studied constructing a rooftop patio to capture the mountain views but instead constructed an 1800 sf covered patio building in addition to taking advantage of the site views. Wellogy completely transformed the building’s exterior to reflect the playful and family-oriented personality of Mellow Mushroom.
Improvements include butterfly rooflines, a colorful mural that bands the building, and central blue paneled cement boards that accent the building entry and each facade. The projects interior design features Wellogy fourth unique Mellow Mushroom interior design solution. For this project, the client wanted to capture a “Retro 70’s” look, something unexpected for the community of Lone Tree. A rich palette of earth tone browns and oranges recalls a funkier time in popular culture.
