If you watch the ABC show “Shark Tank,” you may have seen this men’s grooming salon concept in a September 2014 episode. The founders of Hammer & Nails did not get the deal from the Sharks, but they have moved on to much success, enthusiasm, and interest in their growing business.
Wellogy is working with multiple franchise owners to design their unique locations. Each location features custom artwork focused on the region and offers various services, including haircuts, straight razor shaves, hand and foot care, massages, a retail section, and an in-house bar offering complimentary beer and spirits. The concept creates a “man cave” atmosphere as an alternative to a beauty salon. There are sports on large screens throughout the space, and every barber station has a personal screen for their customer. The hand & foot care stations feature sound-canceling headphones to aid in the relaxing experience. The design aesthetic incorporates a masculine color palette complemented with oversized seating, metal panels, and modern light fixtures. Wellogy has completed locations in New Albany and Upper Arlington, Ohio, and we have several more salons in the early stages.
