Front Room Coffee Shop Renovation

Ohio University started the renovation process with the student development of the LEAN process which mapped all the service touchpoints of the highly efficient Starbucks location. The new design maximizes revenues while decreasing the wait time for products processed in high volume in a dense part of campus. The variety of seating options, new lighting and contrasting woods create a “pop” at the service counter. Due to the nature of this high traffic area, highly durable finishes were used and the exterior door to the location was moved to streamline the ordering process and create multiple points of entry.
