The design team is coordinated with The Ohio State University for the many logistical requirements within each building to minimize the impact to the building occupants during construction. This project included the upgrade, replacement, and modernization of elevator systems at various campus buildings located on OSU’s Main Campus. Work included upgrading and replacing elevator power systems, controller equipment and systems, elevator cars, and machine room upgrades; and bringing existing building elevators up to current ASME A.17.1 code requirements. This project occured in various buildings that remained open to the public, during the construction phase. The elevators are included in the following buildings: Graves Hall, Mendenhall Lab, Meiling Hall, Animal Science, and Rightmire Hall.
