Coliseum Renovations and Addition

Since 1999, Wellogy has been involved with nearly all facilities on the Ohio Expo Center’s 20-building campus. The firm understands the critical scheduling needs of the Center as it hosts the annual state fair and over 175 events for millions of people yearly. To meet the goals of the Ohio Expositions Commission to improve facilities and be a self-sufficient agency, Wellogy has implemented an aggressive multi-phased scheduling process that involves the client, consultants, and contractors that maximizes the windows of opportunities between events to complete construction.

For this project, the original historical Coliseum, built in 1918, was updated and renovated to include modern amenities in support of the facility’s increasingly multi-functional needs.  The project scope included two expansions to accommodate modern restroom facilities, specialty storage, and design reflective of the building’s historical heritage.

Respecting the Expo’s need to host scheduled events, we implemented an aggressive phasing plan which allowed the building to remain operational throughout construction.
