Chapel at Worthington Woods : The Salvation Army

The design is sensitive to the fabric of the community and acts as a buffer between the residential areas to the north and the commercial/ manufacturing areas to the south. The facility was greeted with enthusiasm by the Far North Community Coalition, which oversees development of the area.

Wellogy provided full architectural services for the new 20,000 sf Worthington Woods Chapel for the Salvation Army. We designed an economical exterior envelope and fenestration system that allowed the client to achieve all of their goals for space, functionality, and aesthetics, while remaining within their budget. The design of the facility provides for multiple uses and the materials selected were durable yet economical. Because of the economy of the plan and materials specified, we were able to develop a richer pallet of laminated wood trusses and decking in the chapel and entry hall.
