Wellogy provided PoR, design, and site assessment services in advance of a planned two-phase, total renovation of the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services facility in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The scope of work included renovation of 210,000 sf of offices on six floors, addition of a new state-of-the-art employee training area, as well as improvements to the surrounding exterior including a new civic plaza fronting the Scioto River.
Once renovated, this facility was to serve as the central administration and headquarters for this recently reorganized agency, and help position ODJFS as a leader in family support and workplace development. The creation of this facility was an opportunity to redefine collaborative office environments for a state government agency, specifically in the areas of efficiency, effectiveness, and workplace experience.
To date, Phase I construction has been completed, including selective demolition and hazardous material abatement. Additionally, Phase II renovation construction documentation has been completed in advance of the open-ended implementation schedule.
